Stockton Metropolitan Airport

The Stockton Metropolitan Airport is located on the Southern boundary of the city of Stockton in the heart of California's central valley. The Airport is conveniently located between two major north-south thoroughfares; Interstate 5, 1.5 miles to the West, and State Highway 99, which borders the airport on the East side, view map. Situated on 1,449 acres of land, the Stockton Metropolitan Airport has an 8,650-foot long, 150-foot wide primary ILS runway, with a take-off distance available of 11,037 feet. The Stockton Metropolitan Airport also has a 4,458-foot long, 75-foot wide general aviation runway. Six air carrier gates adjoin the 44,355 square-foot terminal building.

The Stockton Metropolitan Airport recently opened its new passenger hold room which now more than doubles seating for travelers with accommodations for 367 individuals. The new hold room was funded nearly entirely by a $3 million Federal Aviation Administration grant and offers opportunities for future expansion of airline service.

Airports

The Stockton Metropolitan Airport currently offers non-stop service and complete vacation packages to Las Vegas with Allegiant. Starting October 28, 2011, Allegiant will offer non-stop service to Palm Springs.

The Las Vegas-based airline has made a name for itself by focusing on affordable travel between non-hub markets and two of the country's most popular vacation destinations - Las Vegas and Orlando, Florida. Public Transportation for local and surrounding areas is available through the San Joaquin Regional Transit District at (209) 467-6652 or www.sanjoaquinRTD.com.

For intercity service, SCT/LINK's Highway 99 Express www.sctlink.com provides direct connections to Galt, Lodi, Elk Grove and 65th Street in Sacramento. The Highway 99 Route runs Monday through Friday, with hourly service all day from 5:20 A.M. to 7:20 P.M., and on Saturdays from 8:20 A.M. to 5:25 P.M.

For transportation services to Stockton Metropolitan Airport from outside areas, take SCT/LINK Highway 99 Express to Lodi. Next, transfer to San Joaquin Transit District Route 23 service and board Route 27 at transfer terminal to arrive at Airport.

Directions

If you are approaching from the North on I-5:

Exit at French Camp Rd. and follow it Eastbound under the freeway until you reach Airport Way. Turn Left on Airport Way, (Northbound), and you will see the airport about 1.5 miles ahead on your right. Turn right at C. E. Dixon Street.

If you are approaching from the South on I-5:

Exit at Roth Rd. and follow it Eastbound until it dead-ends into Airport Way. Turn left on Airport Way, (Northbound), and you will see the airport approximately 3 miles ahead on your right. Turn right at C. E. Dixon Street.

If you approaching from the North on Highway 99:

Take the Arch Rd. exit and bear right onto Arch-Airport Rd. and follow it westbound for approximately 1 1/2 miles. Notice the airport is on your left. Just before the intersection of Arch-Airport Rd. and Airport Way you will see a left turn lane for Ruggles Frontage Rd. Turn left onto Ruggles Rd. and follow it around the terminal parking lot. If this is your final destination on the airport pull in and park.

If you are approaching from the South on Highway 99:

Take the Arch Rd. exit and follow the off-ramp westbound (left) under the highway. Once past Highway 99 the Road name changes to Arch-Airport Rd. Follow it Westbound for approximately 1 1/2 miles. Notice the airport is on your left. Just before the intersection of Arch-Airport Rd. and Airport Way you will see a left turn lane for Ruggles Frontage Rd. Turn left onto Ruggles Rd. and follow it around the terminal parking lot. If this is your final destination on the airport pull in and park.
